WGSDCA Awards Program In order to recognize outstanding white German Shepherd Dogs and outstanding white-factored German Shepherd Dogs, the WGSDCA offers six awards. These awards are presented to dogs whose owners are members of the WGSDCA and who apply for these awards. Dogs may be living or deceased. WGSDCA Award of Merit
The dog must be WGSDCA Champion, have earned a performance title, and have passed the American Kennel Club Canine Good Citizen test or the Therapy Dogs International test or a temperament test. Dogs who earn this award may use the letters "WAM" at the end of their registered name.
WGSDCA Award of Excellence
The dog must have earned the WGSDCA Award of Merit and have been awarded a select award at a WGSDCA National Show. Dogs who earn this award may use the letters "WAX" at the end of their registered name. This replaces the "WAM" title.
Versatile Dog Award
The dog must have earned a conformation championship or a Register of Merit award and have earned two performance titles in different areas. He must also have passed the American Kennel Club Canine Good Citizen test or the Therapy Dogs International test or a temperament test. Dogs who earn this award may use the letters "WVDA" at the end of their register name.
Versatile Dog Excellent Award
The dog must have earned the WGSDCA Versatile Dog Award and have have earned an additional performance title in one additional area. Dogs who earn this award may use the letters "WVDX" at the end of their registered name. This replaces the "WVDA" title.
Versatile Stock Dog Award
This award is for white-factored colored GSDs. The dog must have earned a conformation championship and two performance titles in different areas. He must also have passed the American Kennel Club Canine Good Citizen test or the Therapy Dogs International test or a temperament test. Dogs who earn this award may use the letters "WVSD" at the end of their register name.
Versatile Stock Dog Excellent Award
This award is for white-factored colored GSDs. The dog must have earned the WGSDCA Versatile Stock Dog Award and have earned an additional performance title in one additional area. Dogs who earn this award may use the letters "WVSDX" at the end of their registered name. This replaces the "WVSD" title.
